Your Questions About Job Bank

Charles asks…
why do banks take a stand when start a new job have you wages put in your bank and it take 96hrs b4 get it out?
i started a new job get 2days wags. the jobs bank has do its job now i’m been waiting or my bank to put in. as of now its still NOT IN.

Alley answers:
Whenever you have a bank account, the bank can legally hold all funds over the first $100 for at least 24 hours before releasing them to you. For anything over $100 you should have access to the funds unless they come from out of state. Out of state funds may be held up to 7 business days.

Mandy asks…
What job should I take, bank, financial representive, or assistant manage?
I am n a dilemma. I went 2 an interview 4 a job as a credit analyst with 1st commercial bank Sept 17th. I was told I should find out n 2 weeks if I have the job. Its been 9 days. I have been offered a job already 4 Sherwin Williams for $36,000 as assistant manager. I have not taken the SW Job yet, because I wanted 2 wait a few more days to see if got a job with the bank. However I have been offered an interview with Ameriprise Financial on Monday Oct 1st. If I get offered the job by Friday at the lastest with the bank I will go on ahead and take the bank job. If not I will go on ahead and go to the interview with AF and pressure them into getting a job because there is another offer. Lets assume that I don’t get the job with the bank, if AF offered me a job, would it better to go with them or with SW? I have MBA in Finance from Univ of Illinois. If I get an interview with AF but am not hired on the spot how many days should I wait?

Ruth asks…
How to search and apply for teller positions of bank job?
I have an EAD. Have a bachelors degree and a diploma in marketing. I did apply for teller positions but did not get a single reply from any bank. Had gone for a pnc bank assessment but came to know that there was no assesment at that time. Some mistake in their site. So whats the best way to contact an employer. Be it bank or even administartive job.

Alley answers:
You MIGHT try temporary hire companies and see about hiring out as an office “temp”. Often companies need someone for only a short time and may be looking to put you in and sometimes the jobs turn into full time jobs.
I’m not sure if this is common with the banking industries, but it’s something you MIGHT look into. There’s accountemps – they hire out this stuff. God Speed!

Daniel asks…
How do I get a job in the bank?
I want to get a job in the bank and I’ve been applying to entry level jobs on the bank websites. My career goal is to be a bank manager. What kind of qualifications will I need to get a bank job? And what kind of work experience will be helpful? I am thinking of getting a office administration job first to get some experience, is that a good idea? I am graduating from university soon but my degree does not relate to banking or business.

Alley answers:
If you have completed your bachelors degree in BBA or MBA (finance) then you will definitely get the job in banking sector, but remember you have to appear for bank exams for managerial level.
